Why would you t…

Why would you take this medication???

When the tv ad says > Don’t begin or continue to take (name of medicine) if you experience side effects that include drymouth, stomach pain, diarrhia, constipation, dizzyness, thoughts of suicide, high-blood pressure, blurred vision, numbness in hands and feet, general weakness or abnormal sweating, heartburn or skipping of heart beat, vomiting, blood in the urine, muscle cramps, allergic reaction, skin rash, liver problems, kidney infection, if you are pregnant or will become pregnant, experience seizures, have low white blood cell count, have risk of infection.

Why bother???

Double-Dip Recession

15 08 2011

Sorry! We never left the 2008 crash and recession.
More like a Depression, though, with 20+ million
out of work. The Media AND the U.S. Government
have been brainwashing Americans into accepting
“that there are better times ahead.”More than
likely are greater social unrest and outright
anger in the streets. Take a serious look at
Great Britain today in 2011 and look back
at Argentina in 2001 (see YouTube for
Argentinian riots ). Although we are not
promoting any notions of political unrest,
we are looking out the window of reality
and don’t like what we see. Time for States
to identify and fund manufacturing and
construction projects and not wait for
the handcuffed Federal Government.

Speculation in Commodities

13 08 2011

Commodities speculators are running up the market daily and then selling short to grab their profits,  only to return and do it again the next day.

We suggest that laws be established in a global cooperative effort to require that all buyers and sellers of future commodity contracts must be qualified to take possession of said commodity physically at the end of the bidding process.

No speculators will thus be allowed in the futures market,
only actual buyers and sellers of commodities.

$13 Trillion Offshore

11 04 2011

In a recent radio interview on NPR, Mr. Robert Landori, a former accountant for offshore financial institutions in the Cayman Islands and author of a new book, “Havana Harvest,” said that he estimates criminal and tax-avoidance deposits offshore total a sum in the neighborhood of 13 trillion US dollars. Mr. Landori, a Hungarian by birth,  according to his biographic clip on Amazon Books, was an accountant specializing in mergers and acquisitions and a trustee in bankruptcy in the Caymans. Amazon states that Mr. Landori came in contact in the Caymans with international financiers, notorius con-men, well-known artists and entertainers and members of several countries’ intelligence communities. He was once jailed in Castro’s Cuba for two months on espionage charges that were dropped. He had unknowingly broken Cuba’s law by ordering banned electronic equipment for a Cuba customer.

How much is the United State’s current debt? Need we say more?

“Mort-Gage”= Measure of Death

4 04 2011

A few years ago, a businessman asked me a simple question:
“Is there a place where the bank can’t foreclose on me and the taxman can’t take my house away for non-payment?”

My answer: Buy an island and declare it a nation (that is, if you can get away with that from the country that owns the island).

Or you can buy a boat or ship and stay offshore in international waters indefinitely (next to impossible as you have to land sometime and the banker and the taxman may get you then).

Most people don’t realize that the word “mortgage” in Latin means “measure of death.” You don’t pay and you “die” from foreclosure. And, if you don’t pay your property tax on the same mortgaged house, you die then, too! Oh, I forgot to mention the income tax guys who will take away your assets irregardless of the other two liens.

Home “ownership” is an illusion. You are just a “glorified tenant for the bank and the taxman. Even if you pay the bank off, there’s still the local, state and federal revenue officers to face each year.

Rest in peace each night…if you can!

Joblessness

16 11 2010

It’s got to the point we can’t handle the “disinformation” being pushed by the U.S. media on a daily basis regarding joblessness.
When the media (and the US Government) says 1st time job losses fell 35,000 or 50,000 from last month, what they fail to say is that 435,000 to 450,000 people or more were out of work for the first time lasts month, adding that amount to the year’s total. This year, up to October, almost 6 million Americans lost their jobs. 6 MILLION!
That brings the total to an estimated 17 to 20 million people out of work. Say a prayer for President Obama and the US Congress. They are really going to need all the help they can get to avoid the PROTEST RIOTS that are on the horizon.

“Toothpicks”

25 06 2010

Back in 1979, an English woman asked a simple question. “Why do you Americans have your (electric) transmission lines on toothpicks? We in England have all our lines underground.”

The more we see cities and states without power after tornadoes and hurricanes, the more correct this woman seems in her observation.

If President Obama is looking for a public works project that would employ tens of thousands of currently-unemployed Americans and strengthen our power grids against
blackouts, this could be it. Lessons from WWII and the English can be applied to our present utility situation for the benefit of all.
